Handcrafted Leather Bags Designed in Maine

 “Inspired by Salt Air” - Wildwood Oyster Co was founded in New England by designer Becky McKinnell. Handmade locally in Maine. In 2017, Becky’s sister gifted her a full leather hide, inspiring her to create designs for her own perfect leather bag. She envisioned a large leather bag capable of holding a laptop and beach towel, reflecting her love for the ocean and frequent visits to the beach. Becky added industrial brass accents and a soft dock line strap. When she began wearing her handmade bag around town, she received many compliments and questions, which motivated her to make more, leading to the birth of Wildwood Oyster Co. Becky also has a long-standing hobby of growing oysters. Becky started designing bags and decided to name her company after the oyster blog she had begun writing online.
