We’re Kiki and Eric, the owners and founders of RAREBIRD. As avid travelers, we bring a fresh perspective on the items people use and interact with every day. Inspired by the cultures, food, music, and communities that make a place what it is, we aspire to continue seeking out opportunities to learn and explore diverse locations and more purposeful ways of living.
Our mission with RAREBIRD is to offer customers that same sense of joy and wonder we get from traveling and exploring cultures of other countries—and how connected to purpose in living many of them are. It’s the combination of this diverse energy, the all-encompassing beauty of the human experience, and showing up authentically that we hope to convey through the shopping experience at RAREBIRD.

THE HEART BEHIND OUR BRAND
RAREBIRD is a reflection of the beauty and wonder I encounter through my journeys and life experiences. Travel has always been one of my greatest passions. It allows me to experience breathtaking landscapes, discover vibrant cultures, and connect with people from all walks of life. These moments of exploration deepen our understanding of the world and remind us how much beauty exists in our shared humanity.
Before RAREBIRD, my path began in the kitchen. As a chef in California, I was taught that creating something meaningful begins with honoring the ingredients and every person whose hands play a role in the food we serve. Our farm-to-table philosophy instilled a deep respect in me. From the farmers and seeds that nature provides to the many hands that prepare and bring a dish to the table, we were encouraged to understand and give reverence to every integral part of the process.
And I approach curation, styling, and fashion the same way.
Each piece featured at RAREBIRD represents the people, materials, and craftsmanship behind it. The Boutique is a manifestation of our desire and mission to move away from the waste, disrespect, and disconnection that comes from fast fashion. I believe in supporting designers and brands that value ethical practices, sustainability, thoughtful design, and responsible production.
With RAREBIRD, my hope is to balance the inspiration of travel and intentional cooking with a more purposeful way of living and dressing. Every item you find here is personally curated to celebrate the authenticity, creativity, and conscious choice reflected in slow fashion.
