WIESMADE, based in Petaluma, CA, was founded by Nic, a third-generation Bay Area native with a lifelong dream: to create premium jeans and knitwear—farmed, milled, and sewn entirely in the USA. With over 20 years of industry experience rooted in San Francisco’s denim heritage, Nic turned his vision into reality with the launch of WIESMADE. Driven by a passion for sustainability and uncompromising quality, Nic spent two years testing fabrics from around the world. Ultimately, he discovered that the best way to achieve his standards was to use locally sourced natural fibers—building a collection where every element, from fiber and fabric to buttons and stitching, is grown and made in America. Today, less than 3% of clothing sold in the USA is made domestically, and only a small fraction of that uses both fabric and fiber that are locally sourced. WIESMADE takes a “farm to table” approach to clothing, working closely with a network of family-run farms, mills, and sewing shops. As a small, family-run company, we obsess over quality, designing bespoke fabrics—from custom 14oz broken twill denim to French Terry and Jersey knits—crafted by skilled American artisans committed to their craft.
