Shoes made from recycled materials
Known for its vintage looks, excellent construction, and sustainable practices, their conscious design emphasizes longevity, versatile details, and material integrity. Their soles are called “re-speckled,” a design concept they created that also serves as their shoes’ signature feature. Each sole is made from leftover rubber from other manufacturing processes, combined with new rubber. Re-speckled is a certified process that uses 55% discarded material, saving hundreds of tons of waste from landfills. The shoes’ cushioning is also made from plant-based castor oil and recycled rubber, a process that requires less water. Their memory foam contains 37% post-consumer material. The shoes’ leather is sourced ethically and eco-friendly through Leather Working Group (LWG) certified gold and silver tanneries, with a commitment to expanding the use of chrome-free leathers. The soles include feather-weight recycled EVA, giving them the signature re-speckled look.
