Founded by Douglas Little in 2015, he has been fascinated by scents since childhood and studied perfumery in Grasse, France. Little was tired of the fragrance industry's copycat scents and wanted to return to nature. He aimed to create a fragrance company that stood out from mass-produced synthetic perfumes by emphasizing radical transparency, sustainable sourcing, and a holistic approach to production. He is committed to examining all aspects of how a product is made, including its efficacy, sustainability, and recyclability. Heretic Parfum's fragrances are small-batch, natural, and unisex. Little uses the word "dirty" to describe his contemporary scents. He blends scents in his fragrance lab in Los Angeles, using non-synthetic ingredients, including organic, non-GMO sugarcane alcohol.
